Can a cleaner optimize PC performance?
Results depend on available temporary data and Windows permissions. Y-Cleaner does not guarantee a specific amount of space freed, higher FPS, or a faster computer. Browser passwords, history, cookies, and bookmarks are not cleanup targets in version 1.0.
Can I undo file shredding?
Overwrite selected files before deleting them. Review the file list and confirm every run. The app cannot undo shredding.
Are Y-Cleaner, CCleaner and Eraser the same app?
Y-Cleaner (yCleaner) is an independent Windows app with PC cleanup, large file search and a file shredder. CCleaner and Eraser are separate products by other developers; Y-Cleaner is not affiliated with them.
How do I activate without email?
After payment, open your saved order page and copy the code. In the app, open License, paste it and choose Activate. Internet is needed for verification. One code is bound to one computer.
Where do I get my code after payment?
On your protected order page. Save its secret link before paying. Your browser also saves it locally and shows “Return to my purchase” on the home page. Do not share the link.
How do I renew my license?
Choose Buy and enter your current code in the renewal field. After payment, the term extends from its current expiry, or from payment if it expired. No automatic charges.
What is different about the portable version?
Portable runs from an extracted folder. The installer adds Start menu and uninstall entries. Features and licensing are identical.
What does the app send to the server?
Trial and licensing use a pseudonymous device ID, app version and license status. Optional usage statistics require your consent. File names and contents are not sent. See the data policy.
Do I always need the internet?
Internet is needed to start the trial, activate and verify the license. After a successful check, the app works without y-cleaner.com for up to 24 hours, within the license term. Then reconnect.
Can deleted files be restored?
Y-Cleaner does not back up deleted data. The app cannot undo Recycle Bin cleanup. Review selected files and save important data before confirming.
