How Y-Cleaner processes data

Edition for Y-Cleaner 1.0. This page describes the technical operation of the application, website, and licensing.

Required license data

For trial registration, activation, and license checks, the application contacts y-cleaner.com. The server stores a pseudonymous device identifier, first-launch date, contact dates, application version, Windows information, trial/license status, expiration, and the code's device binding.

The identifier does not contain your name or email. It distinguishes devices and prevents restarting the trial. These data are necessary for licensing, so their transmission cannot be disabled during activation.

Optional statistics — with consent

If you enable statistics in settings, the server may receive aggregate usage events: launch and cleanup counts, the number of deleted files and space freed, plus the event date and application version. You can withdraw consent in the application.

Without this consent, the server receives only information necessary for licensing. The CRM can still count registered devices and devices that checked a license; this does not mean their owners consented to optional statistics.

What the app does not send

File shredder

Shredding runs locally: names and contents of selected files are not sent to the server.

Purchase and code

App activation does not require email. The payment service may request contact details. The server stores the order, plan, amount, payment status and license link. Card details are processed by the payment service.

The license code and the order link's secret key grant access to your purchase. Do not publish them or forward them to strangers.

Feedback and reviews

Email or nickname in the form is optional and available only to the administrator for replies. Review text, rating and the provided public name may appear on the website after moderation. Support requests are not published.

Website visitor analytics

Without consent to detailed analytics, the website counts only anonymous page views. These views do not include a stored IP address, contact details or a history of visitor actions.

After you consent, the website records sessions: IP address, country when reliable server data is available, browser, system, language, pages, traffic source, active time, scrolling and button clicks. Field contents, passwords, license codes and secret order links are not recorded.

You can change your analytics choice at any time. Detailed records are visible only to the administrator in the CRM. The website does not use third-party advertising trackers.

Browser and cookies

The website stores the latest secret order link in localStorage so you can return to your purchase in the same browser. You can remove this local data through browser settings. The CRM uses an administrator session cookie. The supplied website contains no advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.

Technical logs

The web server and payment provider may retain IP addresses and technical request logs. The secret order key is sent in the API request body; the secret-link fragment after # is not included in the normal web-server request URL. Do not add third-party scripts to the order page.

Access and retention

CRM access is restricted to an administrator account. License data are required while the purchased access operates; payment records may be retained for reconciliation and to prevent duplicate issuance. The service owner specifies retention periods and a contact for deletion requests in their published policy.

Requests and owner contact

Before public sales begin, the service owner must publish their details, support contact, and legal bases for processing. The supplied template does not invent these details. If a live website has no contact information, do not purchase until it is provided.
